Here Comes Winter!

It looks like winter is finally on its way here in Minot. It has been cold and windy this past weekend. We bundled ourselves up for a walk yesterday afternoon and made a quick loop around the block. A neighbor gave me two of these winter buntings, or whatever you call them, which was much appreciated.

Henry wailed again on Sunday when meeting someone new. This time it was when the chaplain at the base chapel leaned over to say hi. We think Henry just doesn't like a lot of excitement. He loves to be out of the house, looking around at new things, don't get me wrong. He just doesn't like people to be overly animated when he meets them. We think this was proven last night when we met a friend of our neighbors' who, a brand new mom herself, slowly leaned down and softly said hi to Henry. He gave her a big old smile, dimples and all.

Last night we also discovered that Henry is starting to cut his first two teeth! His cheeks are rosy, he's been drooling like a faucet, and he's been constantly sucking on his bottom lip (as you can see in the picture) . We looked in there, and sure enough, two little white bumps were pushing through. I didn't think babies could start teething this soon! So far, it hasn't bothered him much - until today. Should be an interesting week!
