Four Months Old

Henry had his 4 month doctor's appointment today and he did very well. He didn't cry when the nurse or the doctor talked to him - he talked and smiled. Henry now weighs 14 1/2 pounds and is 25 inches long. The doctor was surprised to see he had two teeth coming in already. If you look super close at this picture (I think you can click on it to make it bigger), you can see them, lol. I have to take him back next week to get his shots since it hasn't been 8 weeks since his 2 month ones. This was actually great news because I was not looking forward to caring for a cranky baby through the next few nights while Matt's on alert. Matt should be home all next week - at least at night.

Henry is not one to nap without protest, so what he did yesterday (as noted by this picture) was quite funny. He was playing with his toys on the floor and was getting cranky. I tried to buy a few more minutes by giving him his pacifier. Within a minute he was nodding off to sleep. I decided to see what would unfold since he's never fallen asleep while playing before, so I left him napping there. About thirty or so minutes later, he opened his eyes, saw his toys above him, smiled, and went right back to playing and talking. Nutty boy.
