Birthday in Williamburg

Henry had his third 1st birthday party last weekend at Grandpa and Grandma Rudy's house. Brent, Liz and Avery drove up from Chesapeake for the weekend. Friday night, we took the cousins on their first outing together in the car - Sno to Go!!! Henry loved sharing my Rumbleberry stuffed Sno-ball.
Avery wore her party dress on Saturday
Mom made a cake and Matt decorated it.
Saturday, Aunt Pam and Uncle Don came over to celebrate Henry's birthday. We also talked on Skype with Matt's parents so they could join the festivities (I forgot to mention previously that we talked to them also on Henry's actual birthday - yay for technology! We don't feel so far away then!). Here are Matt and Henry eating dinner out on the screened in porch.
Make a wish!
He still won't touch cake, but he loves to eat it!
Looking at a glittery pop-up book Uncle Don and Aunt Pam gave himPlaying with the bows
We all made it to church on Sunday
On the way back up to Ft. Meade on Sunday, we stopped by Bryan and Evelyn's in Alexandria so we could meet Evelyn's brother Elliott, who was visiting from Lima, Peru. This picture is really red for some reason, but here it is.

Mom came back to Maryland with us, so we've been enjoying a week of running errands, eating, a little shopping, and mostly just relaxing. Skype has become our new best friend. We've been talking with Liz and also with Aunt Pam all week. Henry makes a beeline for the computer every time he hears and sees someone talking through it. We have our laptop sitting on a chair, so he can see the screen. He knows how to wave "hi" now, but he will only do it to someone on Skype, haha.
