The Big Oh-Two

I'm still sorting through all the pictures, but here are some videos from Henry's 2nd birthday for the time being. Matt's parents drove up from St. Louis for the week, which was so much fun!! We're so glad they endured the 20 hour drive (each way) to come up and hang out with us :-) Thanks Mimi and Pawpy!!!!!

Henry still had to warm up to opening presents. I don't know what it is about ripping paper, but he's not a fan. Matt ended up opening most of his presents, haha. We were hoping he'd enjoy it this time - we should've just put all his new toys in a giant bag and let him just dump them out!!

I like this video because of the end when he makes his cars talk to each other ("Hi Mater! How you doin?"). He's been doing that for months, and it cracks me up. In the background you see his new car that Mimi and Pawpy gave him - boy does he love climbing in and out of it, and going backwards!

Henry has become even more interested in airplanes since we went to the museum the other week. Also, with all the bombers that fly over our house, and the C-130 that sprayed for mosquitoes last month (it flew SO low over our house!), he's seen plenty of them in action. His Grandma and Grandpa R gave him this airplane for his Little People.

Finally! With a few presents left, Henry got into opening them on his own, like this wooden train set. He would rip the paper off, ask us to open it, and then go get another gift. Haha, maybe he'll be ready for Christmas now.

oh man oh man... H is so grown up! perhaps he needed Avery to help him rip through the paper... =) he's doing good with it! I loved how he flew the plane in the air and talked to his cars... soo cute.

So adorable! I can't believe how big he is getting and his little voice is so sweet - just want to give him a big hug.
